Pricing
To get started with Fulfillment by Amazon,
you will also be charged a $39.99 monthly fee for the Selling on
Amazon service, allowing your products to show up on Amazon.
Fulfillment by Amazon Pricing
Use this information to calculate your
Fulfillment by Amazon fees.
Step 1 - Inventory Storage
Use the table Inventory Storage. Storage
fees are charged for all units stored in an Amazon fulfillment
center, based on calendar month and your daily average volume
(measured in cubic feet). You pay only for the space you consume.
| Inventory Storage |
| This fee is assessed to every unit
for as long as it's in Amazon's warehouse. |
| Monthly Storage (per cubic foot) |
| January
through September |
$.45/cubic
foot1 per month |
| October
through December |
$.60/cubic foot1
per month |
Step 2 - Determine Order Type
Use the table Amazon.com Fulfillment for
any orders placed on Amazon.com.2 Use the table Basic Fulfillment
for any fulfillment shipments you request for orders placed
elsewhere or for product removal.
Step 3 - Determine Unit Types
Media, Non-Media and Oversize - Media units
include books, music, software, video games and videos (DVD, VHS).
Non-Media units include everything else. An Oversize unit is any
unit, media or non-media, that is greater than 18" long x 14"
wide x 8" high or weighing 20 pounds or more.
Step 4 - Calculate Fulfillment Fee
Amazon.com Fulfillment
Order Handling
Add $1.00 if your fulfillment order contains one or more Non-Media
units.
Pick & Pack
A fee is applied to each unit in your fulfillment order. If a unit
has a retail price less than $25.00, use the corresponding row for
that unit. If the unit has a retail price of $25 or greater, use the
corresponding row for that unit.
Weight Handling
Multiply the total weight of each individual unit in your
fulfillment order by $0.40. The weight of any fulfillment order will
be the sum of the individual weights of each unit in your shipment,
rounded to the nearest tenth of a pound.
TOTAL - The sum of A, B and C is the
fulfillment fee.

1The cubic feet of any
Unit will be based on the Unit's size as properly packaged and ready
for shipment to customers in aczcordance with the Guidelines. Amazon
will be entitled to make its own measurement of the cubic feet of
any packaged unit or representative sample thereof, and in the event
of any conflict between such measurement and information provided by
Seller, Amazon's measurement will govern.
2Amazon.com Fulfillment
rates apply to orders that are placed on Amazon.com and qualify for
shipping promotions and customer service, as detailed in the
Fulfillment by Amazon Agreement. Any applicable selling fees still
apply.
3Basic Fulfillment rates
apply to requests that are submitted by seller directly and cover
transportation and handling only
4Removals will be
charged for Pick & Pack only.
5The maximum weight for
any single unit to be fulfilled by Amazon is 150 pounds. Please
consult the FBA Merchant Manual for detailed information about
product restrictions. Basic Fulfillment order item weights are the
greater of either actual weight or the 'dimensional weight' as
calculated: (Length x Width x Height) / 194.
6When calculating
Fulfillment by Amazon fees for orders that include oversized items,
each oversize item in the order is assessed the applicable fees as a
unique order. (Note: Each Oversize item is generally sent as a
single shipment in its own package, therefore Amazon does not
aggregate the fees for multiple-item orders that include oversize
items.)
You may request that inventory be
returned to you or disposed of at anytime. Inventory removals will
be billed at the rate listed in the Basic Fulfillment table and
disposals will be billed at the Basic Fulfillment rate for Pick and
Pack.

Read about how Fulfillment by Amazon is
working for these merchants:
"FBA has allowed us to increase
sales tremendously without adding any employees or warehouse space.
We can now take off when we want and we also have "hurricane
proofed" our business. Amazon is always open and can handle any
sudden increase in orders that our company by itself could not."
Treebeard Books
"I'm very excited about potential
sales...based on my company's organic growth within Amazon and the
added sales FBA can bring."
"The process of sending inventory to Amazon is incredibly
simple. There is a minimal amount of paperwork involved and new
features such as "Stickerless Inventory" make shipment
packaging and preparation a breeze. The benefits of being included
in the FBA program, such as Super Saver Shipping and Amazon Prime,
give us a competitive advantage over other sellers - regardless of
their size. We are also able to leverage Amazon's relationships with
shipping couriers which leads to very competitive fulfillment fees.
Amazon FBA gives us the ability to quickly ramp up our order
capacity without adding additional labor or storage overhead. We
expect Amazon FBA to be an integral part of achieving our aggressive
revenue targets, especially during the upcoming holiday season."
NextGen Gamer
"FBA blows out books like a fire
hose! It not only allows you to use Amazon's warehousing and grab
better page position, but opens the door to Amazon's BEST buyers
-the folks who use Amazon Prime. Pick the right books, price them
right, ship them off, manage your inventory, and cash the checks.
How easy is that!?!"
Arundel Books
"...I think FBA will be a great
thing for us. We are looking to reduce our own fulfillment burden.
For some items, volume has certainly increased since switching to
FBA."
ARequip
With FBA, I have more time to focus on
acquiring and listing the products that make money for me.
Meanwhile, Amazon.com takes care of everything else: warehousing,
fulfillment, shipping, and customer support. Because customers are
willing to pay a premium for items that Amazon.com ships and
fulfills, I can easily recoup FBA fees by selling my items for a
slightly higher price.
In past years, going out of town meant taking my listings offline
(because I wouldn't be at home to ship them out). This year, I took
two weeks off--and, while I was gone, my products remained available
and my sales levels remained consistent...all because FBA was there
to handle fulfillment for me.
Since I started using FBA my sales have nearly doubled. This could
be because all of my products qualify for all Amazon.Com shipping
promotions. They qualify for Free Super Saver shipping all the way
to Prime shipping."

How do I enroll in
Fulfillment in Amazon?
Any seller can register for Fulfillment by
Amazon. If you are already a seller on our Marketplace platform (or
if you sell media products such as books, music, or video games),
your current Marketplace Seller Account will now display an offer to
join FBA on the right side of the page. If you are new to selling on
Amazon (and you do not sell media products), you can register as a
seller right now by clicking
here.
What does Fulfillment by
Amazon cost?
When an order is fulfilled for you, we
charge fulfillment fees for the picking, packing and shipping of
your product to your customer. When selling on Amazon, the merchant
does not have to set or collect shipping charges. You simply pay the
fulfillment fee regardless of what shipping method the buyer
receives.
When selling on other channels, the seller receives the order and
tells Amazon (via a form or a feed) where to send the product and
what shipping method to use. The cost of this shipping is then
passed through to the merchant. For a full explanation of
Fulfillment by Amazon fees, see our
pricing
tab.
Where will I send my
products for Fulfillment on Amazon.com?
Once you've identified the inventory you
want Amazon to fulfill, our software will determine where it will be
sent. The destination warehouse will vary depending on many factors,
including your location, the category and size of your products and
other geographical considerations.
How do I register
products for Fulfilment by Amazon?
Using the Manage Your Inventory feature of
Seller Central (the Selling on Amazon management Web site) you
simply select the items you wish to have Amazon fulfill and register
them. Once registered, we'll provide you the shipping and
item labels you'll use to prepare your inventory and send
it to us. Once received, your items will be available for sale.
Can I have Amazon
fulfill some orders while I fulfill others directly?
Yes. You may sell some product units using
Fulfillment by Amazon while fulfilling others yourself. For product
units you do not register for Fulfillment by Amazon, you will be
able to continue receiving orders through the Amazon.com Web site,
and you will continue to be responsible for fulfilling those orders.
Can I use Fulfillment by
Amazon for orders from other sales channels (not on Amazon.com)?
Yes. You can ship your product units to us,
and we will pick, pack and ship the items to your customers when you
tell us using our Basic Fulfillment service. With Basic Fulfillment,
merchants can submit order fulfillment requests to Amazon.com using
either a simple Web form a flat file upload (for bulk requests) or
you can use a direct Web-site-to-Web-site XML integration.
When the seller submits a fulfillment request for Basic
Fulfillment, they include the buyer's address and shipping
instructions (including the method/ship speed for Amazon to use).
They can even include a customized note to the buyer on the packing
slip. This allows you to sell your products on other platforms but
still take advantage of our fulfillment centers and our experience
in shipping products.
What items are not
eligible for Fulfillment by Amazon?
The Amazon Services Business Solutions
Agreement sets forth products that are excluded from the program.
Some products excluded from Fulfillment by Amazon may still be
eligible for sale on the Amazon.com Web site. However, you will need
to handle fulfillment for these products yourself.
