3 Feed Improvements You've Asked For
Your opinion matters and based on
your feedback we've made three important
improvements to Product Ads feeds.
- Yahoo Feed Formats- If you
provide "sale price" we'll use it first.
If not, we'll use the value in the
"price" field second.
- Manufacturer
Part Number- we've
added 3 synonyms for this field to
minimize errors. Any of these three
field names will work.
- Shipping
weight - this field
now reads unit of measure
Yahoo Feed Formats
We've expanded the range of price values we are able to accept from Yahoo Store
Sync and Yahoo Store file. We will now work through a hierarchy of price decisions.
If you provide a value for "sale price" we will use this as your price displayed
on Amazon.com. If this value is not present, we will use the "price" field.
We will continue to list only one price for each of your products but sale price
will be used first for the price displayed to customers on Amazon.com.
Manufacturer Part Number synonyms
We will now read a field title Manufacture Part Number, MPN or Mfr part number,
you choose. Using any of the three different naming conventions for the field
will be processed smoothly. Remember, including MPN data for your products
is important as it helps our system categorize your products easily in search
and browse on Amazon.com.
Shipping Weight
You now have the option to include a unit of measure in the Shipping weight field.
If you calculate shipping costs based on product weight simply add the shipping
weight for your product in your product upload. The default unit of measurement
for Shipping Weight is LBS (pounds), but you can enter weight in GR (for grams),
KG (for kilograms), or OZ (for ounces) by adding any of these specific units
of measure to your shipping weight alongside the number in the Shipping Weight
field.

100% Image Coverage in Targeted Ads Placement
We've made a recent change to help drive more qualified
traffic to your website. Product images are now displayed
to the customer in all targeted ad placements on Amazon.com.
Previously ads were in text format only. Images are critical
in helping customers make a good buying decision. Include
images in your product uploads to improve the presentation
of your offers on Amazon.com pages.
Here's how you may

Getting Ready for the Holidays

the holiday shopping season is right
around the corner. Make sure you have
your Product Ads account ready before

Review
Your Product Catalog
Product selection is key to your success.
You never know what a customer is shopping
for, but you won't get the sale if the
product isn't in your feed.
Provide Descriptive
Titles in Your Feed
Help customers discover and choose the
right product. Consider having product
titles similar to what a customer would
type in the search box when looking for
a product. We recommend your titles include
information like Brand, Model, Manufacturer,
Model #, Product Name and other defining
features.
Verify Notifications Preferences
Stay up to date with your account by
setting your Notifications Preferences
in Seller
Central.
Be the first to know when important account
events happen. Add at least two email
addresses for each notification to be
informed.
Review Your Daily Budget
During the holidays Amazon.com's traffic
skyrockets. Make sure your ads are always
live by increasing your daily
budget.
Review Your Bids
Review your CPC
bids to ensure your products get maximum exposure
and optimal placement.
Attributes to Include in Your Feed
Last month we announced the ability to
add optional attribute fields to your
product file. Adding product attributes
improve the ability for customers to find your products
on Amazon.com. We've added over 30 columns of optional
data to include in your feed. With all these options,
we thought you might wonder where to begin.
The chart below provides specific suggestions on which
product information to add by product category.

Q&A
Everyday our Technical Support team answers questions that are submitted by sellers via email and phone. Here's one of the most common asked questions by Product Ads sellers.
Question: I am a new Product Ads seller and
just uploaded my feed with all of my products in Seller
Central. How soon after uploading my feed can I start
to see traffic from my targeted ads on Amazon.com?
Answer: After you have uploaded your feed, take
a minute to review your category bids and make sure your
monthly budget is set. Without a budget and bids, your
ads will not go live. Once you've done this, you can
expect your products to start receiving traffic from
targeted ad placements within 7 days after listing.
